Unfortunately, the image on my TFT display jitters (wrong V-synch?). I have system with a Matrox G450 video card and an IBM T55A analog TFT LCD display. How can I change the display refresh from 75 HZ to 70 Hz for display size 1024 x 768 (the most optimal for best image quality under Windows)? The manual of my monitor indicates the following refresh rates for the highest resolutions: Factory Set Display Modes Recommended Addressability Refresh Rate Horizontal Frequency 1024 768 60 Hz 48.4 kHz 1024 768 70 Hz 56.5 kHz 1024 768 75 Hz 60.0 kHz I have tried by changing the parameter VertRefresh in the /etc/X11/XF86Config as follows VertRefresh 70 Restarted X but this does not change the refresh rate (checked with xvidtune). Is there something else I should do to get 70 Hz and a stable picture? Thanks for your help.
