First a few details might help: 1. what is the physical resolution of your screen (on a 1600x1400 1024x768 won't fill the screen) 2. can you evaluate the resolution of the image? (you may be getting 640x480 because you have the wrong driver or an unreconised card) 3. best post both XF86Config-4 and log - even better when log obtained by redirecting: startx 2>mylogfile
