Hi again
When I launch the X server for a second time, (with the same user or with another one) the keyboard freezes. It really really freezes: I can go back to the console, using the mouse, but the keyboard is still frozen under the console. I have to use ssh to reboot my computer. I have a 8500 Radeon card. I attach my configuration file with this email, and the XFree86 log file of a first launch of the X server (actually, it is the log of my running X session). I get the log of a previous X session which frooze the keyboard, and make a diff between the two log. I get: mycomputer:~# diff XFree86.0.log.second-time XFree86.0.log.first-time 16c16 < (==) Log file: "/var/log/XFree86.0.log", Time: Sun Dec 2 23:46:32 2001 --- > (==) Log file: "/var/log/XFree86.0.log", Time: Sun Dec 2 23:53:54 2001 62c62 < (II) PCI: stages = 0x03, oldVal1 = 0x00000000, mode1Res1 = 0x80000000 --- > (II) PCI: stages = 0x03, oldVal1 = 0x8000702c, mode1Res1 = 0x80000000 612,613d611 < (II) RADEON(0): [drm] removed 1 reserved context for kernel < (II) RADEON(0): [drm] unmapping 8192 bytes of SAREA 0xe4891000 at 0x40014000 Michal P.
