Check X version with X -version then post /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 if you really have 
4.0.3 and
/etc/X11/XF86Config if RH decided to unable 3.3.6 (which it should not have in your 
case but...)
post also your /var/log/XFree86.0.log (I think that's what it's called, you cannot 
miss it
anyhow...) this will give everybody the necessary info for them to help you.
