I would assume Ctrl Alt backspace should get you out of X
You might want to take the opportunity to reset your logon to a non interactive one 
(in 
/etc/inittab reset the run level at 3 instead of 5)
you can then hack your /etc/X11/XF86Config[-4]
the intellimouse requires 
        Option      "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
#       Option      "Emulate3Buttons" "on"
        Option      "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

in its input device section
