I just got a Jaton 3DForce G-16 video card for my computer.

When I start up X, the display goes blank and stays that way until I do a
ctrl-alt-bs to escape out.

According to the box, the chipset is "Trident Blade T16"

It's probed as:

(--) PCI:*(1:0:0) Trident Cyber/BladeXP rev 99, Mem @ 0xf4000000/25,
0xf0400000/22, 0xf2000000/25, 0xf0100000/15

I also noticed it didn't probe the ram correctly:

(--) TRIDENT(0): Found Cyber/BladeXP chip
(--) TRIDENT(0): RAM type is SGRAM
(--) TRIDENT(0): Unable to determine VideoRam, defaulting to 1MB
(--) TRIDENT(0): VideoRAM: 1024 kByte

So I tried "VideoRam 16384" but that didn't help.

Started with a new install of RedHat 7.2 (XFree86-4.1.0)

I also tried downloading and building the xf-4_1-branch from the CVS and it
does the same thing.

I was wondering:
1. If anyone had any ideas
2. What the status of support for the chipset is in the trident driver
3. What additional information you might need.
4. If you still needed people to email Trident and ask them to give the
   xfree86 developers the docs.

Thanks.
