Title: RE: [Newbie]monitor driver

If you  are using Xconfigurator to set up 'X' then all you need is the horizontal sync and vertical refresh rates, ex: horizontal sync 30 - 70 KHz and Vertical refresh 50 -120 Hz. You can set this up as a custom monitor. Check in the manual that came with the monitor for these values.

When I setup Suse 7.1 with my Sony monitor I was able to use the .inf windows
file for the monitor. Can't remember how I done it, I think it asks for a
disk. Have you tried using the windows .inf file for your monitor??
