I also have a new HP with an I830... you need the CVS... I need it as well..but I am still having problems with unresolved symbols... The i830 driver works...I have heard quite a few success stories..it even supports opengl and dri... If I get mine working before you I'll let you know how I did it... otherwise you can let me know! :)
