Don't know whether this is the cause of your problems (you are kind of sparing on the 
details)
but there are a couple of thing I find curious in your XC86Config file:
1.  why do you comment out the 100dpi fonts? I would not do it...
2.  you specify a rather short horizontal range for your monitor while being rather 
generous for
the vertical refresh... Are you using a flat screen (laptop or other) if not look a 
bit more
closely to your monitor specs and give it more leeway...
To help more one would have to know more about your setup and about the crash (for 
instance
/var/log/XFree86.0.log)
