nope doesn't work that way. you have to get the whole thing via CVS.

you need to do a 'cvs co xc' to 'check out' (first download) the 'module'
(part of the CVS tree) you want.
looks like (from http://www.xfree86.org/cvs/) that 'cvs checkout xc' will
work as well.
