You can find info on what is supported by looking at http://www.xfree86.org/4.1.0/Status33.html#33 Regrettably the 9750 does not seem to be mentionned you could still try the trident driver, if it does not work possibly the vesa driver can give you a temporary solution (it is not accel.) I don't have the time (and the knowledge on how to wade through the cvs documentation) to check whether 4.2 will solve your problem, maybe someone else knows...
