RedHat 7.2 with KDE OSX 10.1.2, XFree86 4.2.0 Display variables and xhost is o.k
I am a total newbie in this area. I just installed XFree86 4.2.0 on my mac and it just worked, no tweaking at all !! I have inherited some sgi and sun servers from former sys-adm, when I write "X -quartz -query sunserver" in OSX Terminal.app the sun desktop pops up nicely and the same for sgi. Nowdays we are trying to use Linux when possible. But how do I get the KDE desktop on the Linux server to pop up on the mac? "X -quartz -query remote-linux" in OSX Terminal.app launches XDarwin but does not work. I can get programs to pop up, but not the whole desktop. Will it work if I use somthing else than KDE on linux server?
