How should a clueful but uninitiated code monkey approach debugging xfree problems? (Up to and including which texts would be good to read.)
My particular problem is with the 4.2 accelarated driver for the trident cyberblade: it quavers. It's a little worse at higher resolutions and light colors. It doesn't cause much picture distortion, but does cause much eye strain. This is using a config generated by the packaged xf86config.
