Hi all!
We're trying to get X to work on our machine but are running into trouble.
The screen just freezes when we startx with our Xconfigurator generated file
and the only solution is to power off and start again.

The weird thing is that things work with the old X version (3.3.6) and an
XF86Config file.

We have tried to run the old config file with 4.0.3 X but ran into problems.
We then tried to modify our XF86Config-4 file to match those in the
XF86Config file for he 3.3.6 release, but no luck. We would be greatful for
any pointers you could have.

Files included:
- XF86Config3.x . the original 3.3.6 file that works on 3.3.6
- XF86Config-4. the Xconfigurator generated file that does not work
- XF86Config-4.modified - the modifed XF86Config-4.

Hardware:
- IBM 4694-244 terminal (cirrus gd5446)
- IBM 9052-V01 monitor

Software,
- Red Hat 7.1
- X - 4.0.2

Regards,

Patrik Ernberg
