I looked back to previous messages and saw that you're running 3.3.4, so
that's why you don't have the DDC stuff that automatically reads all the
info from the monitor.  That by itself would motivate me to upgrade
XFree86 if there's no compelling reason not to.

Anyway, as I recall from reading the outside of the box (I bought the
VS-19sn), the VS-7 does 1280X1024X75Hz.  I believe that's the last
choice in the list presented by XF86Setup.  Try that and see if it
doesn't work for you.
