I have a Gravis Eliminator USB joystick set up and
working fine. I am trying to set it up so that I can use it as my pointing
device sometimes. I have been searching everywhere for information on how
to do this. I can find a lot of information and sample XF86Config files
for earlier versions of XFree86. However, I am running 4.03. When I
run xsetpointer -l, it lists the keyboard and mouse. I tried the steps for
3.x versions of XFree, but the xinput section is now obsolete. I tried
interpreting it to the format of the inputdevices sections of the XF86Config-4
file, but I just could not do it.
Please, can someone out there tell me what I should
put into the XF86Config-4 file to at least get the joystick listed when I type
Xsetpointer -l? The joystick I want to use is /dev/input/js0. This
has been driving me crazy since it is probably something very
simple.
Thanks in advance for any help.
