Have upgraded to XFree86 4.2 and kernel 2.4.17-36 kernel to solve some nvidial problems. When I boot, I cannot get gui login. Boot message file has the following info on this.

I upgraded ALSA to get the sound card working, Now I don't even get the gui login screen, have to do console command login, then start X. I the X Font Server problem perhaps related to not being able to get the gui login.
