[Newbie]Multiple head problem

Hi all !   I have a problem with my existing X setup. I have 2 heads configured and working (not Xinerama). This is fine but when I run a video player on display 0 and then move the mouse to display 1, the video freezes and the audio plays on. When you move back to display 0, the video playback continues. I would ultimately like to be able to run the video on display 0 and do other work on display 1 simultaneously but I can't figure out how to get this done.   As usual, any help is appreciated.   Tom   P.S. I have put the 4.2.0 and GATOS drivers installation on hold temporarily, with the above taking priority. Thanks to all that helped me (Oisin, especially) with that, but it is more complex to get going than it appears at first.
