Sorry to have to clutter the list and follow this up.  But can you clarify which driver you are using specifically?  Did you download it from nvidia (which provides linux drivers).  Or are you using the nv driver from the xfree distribution?

The reason I ask is because I did some further reading at the xfree.org website and it specifically says that the geforce Go is NOT supported therefore I suspect your using the nvidia developed driver for linux which is of no use to me since I don't use linux.

Furthermore that only leaves me with one remaining question; will there be support in the future for the nvidia GeForce Go driver for the Dell mobile?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, XFree86 4.2 support the Nvidia GeForce 2 Go. I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 with GeForce2 Go and after several months, it is finally working. Am using Suse 7.3 with 2.4.17 kernel.

Does xfree 4.2.0 support the Nvidia GeForce 2 Go Mobile distributed in Dell Inspiron notebooks?  I've tried using the 'nv' driver without success.  Is there/are there plans to support it in the future?

I know that nvidia distributes a linux driver for it however I am using NetBSD (1.5).  Perhaps there's a way to hack the linux one nvidia distributes to work with NetBSD or am I sol?

Thanks
