WOW! Is this a volatile list or what! Thanks for the prompt replies. I first 
followed Lionel's directions and gleaned and grepped every strinking file in 
the winnt\inf dir for anything concerning monitor, display and video, but no 
gems there. Cool advice though, and I think it would have worked if I had a 
monitor and not an LCD. I had already checked out the Display Adapter 
settings in the Control Panel before posting - that's how I got the 
resolution and horizontal rate. But my new bestest amigo of the crowd is 
Jarmo-dude! That site ROCKED my world! I'm finally spiralling headfirst down 
the path to guru-dom! YESSIR!!!
