Howdy fellow newbies, I have on quick question. I setup my XF86Config file for the XFree86 that comes with redhat 7.2 and XF86_SVGA works, but the xdm/startx commands never initialize the screen to anything but the squashed partially visible 300x200 or whatever.
Why would XF86_SVGA work beautifully, but startx not initialize the screen correctly? (They both seem to be using the same configuration file) The follow up question is, of course, how would you get startx to perform as XF86_SVGA does?
