i have and ATI Rage 128 card, and my version of XFree86 does not support it.
i don't know what version, im running redhat 6.0, well, kind of, i cant
configure the card with my current version to display, no matter what options
i choose (besides monitor, it is one on the list) i can not get it to display
anything. probing locks the machine and the screen goes blank. i try to
choose a basic VGA card, but no luck. I have seen other versions with support
for ATI Rage 128, but i have absolutely NO idea how to run these files (im
trying to simply update to the version which has support for my card ((3.2)),
i dont need anything else from X.) i have a CD burner, but it will not burn
unamed files (ie extract). with the version i want to upgrade to, windows
wants to save extract as a text file, no matter what option i choose, and it
does. maybe some kind of archive file would be helpful. (i can craftily burn
unamed files from winace somehow), but i am going in circles because i cannot
get the etract file without it being a txt file to windows, which it will
burn it as. if anyone can help, please do!
