For those who are using Solaris 8 on laptop with ATI Mobility M/P video chip,
After trying install XFree86 in my Solaris 8 and failed several times, I finally found this package. It works perfectly on my system but slow. It is ok. I feel good at this stage as long as it works. Basically this porting kit installs the XFree86 drivers in such a way as they appear as choices in Sun's own video configuration utility.
