I apoligize for that...
You sound pretty damd tense, and by the looks of it, your'e definatly not
the only one with this problem.

     In the bit that first encourages us to sign up to the newbies list, it
says that the writers of Xfree86 WANT to know about our problems, about the
program, and that if we make enough noise, that it may even get fixed. If it
is a real problem with a driver, or Xfree itself. Perhaps a bit more
e-mailing is in order. Perhaps to someone in a position to check this
problem out. Meanwhile, you may just have to wait for another revision of
Xfree86, or a patch, or revised driver, or if it's giving you so much of a
headache, as I could imagine, having just been to hell and back through a
linuxfromscratch build on my MSI/Duron based system, and having more trouble
than trying to shove a peeled bannana up a fishes bum, maybe just take it
back. Or see if Dell have a model close to yours with the latest
linux/Xfree86 pre-installed?
