I'm really new to this so please have a little patience with me. I've installed the latest versions of cygwin and xfree, following the instructions to the letter as posted at www.xfree86.com.
I'm trying to start an xterm on an HP-UX machine by following the instructions found here: http://cygwin.com/xfree/docs/ug/using-remote-apps.html For ssh I get the following error on the remote system: xterm: Error 24, errno 22: Invalid argument For telnet, I get the following error: Xlib: connection to <my ip> refused by server. Xlib: No protocol specified Error: Can't open display: <my ip>:0 I can run xclock using ssh, but not telnet. I've searched the newbie documentation to no avail. I've also searched google and dejanews but I could find only one answer to the multiple times this question had been asked. That answer pointed to the document I reference above. I'm connected to HP-UX B.10.20 A 9000/780 from a Win98 machine.
