Hi, I'm trying to make the i830 work on my hp notebook. I'm running the kernel 2.4.16 from the debian distribution. I downloaded the xfree 4.2 source distribution, did a make World and make install on the root directory. Then I changed to Xserver/hw/xfree86/os-support/linux/drm/kernel/, did a make -f Makefile.linux. This worked well exept that it telled me that cmpxchg is implicitly declared. I copied the module i830.o to the modules directory. Then I did "modprobe agpgart": worked well. But "modprobe i830" failed. It tells me: unresolved symbol cmpxchg.
