Sorry, I don't speak english very
well.
I have Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 "potato"
distribution.
My system description is:
Mother
board:Asus p4b
Processor: Pentium IV 1700 mhz.
With 512 Mb
of SDRAM
Graphics
card: ATI Radeon 7500, AGP 64 Mb DDR
Monitor:
Philips 109s, with H = 30 - 92 and V = 50 -160
I have downloaded the latest release of Xfree86
(4.2.0) to install it.
Aparently I had only to actualize the libc6
library, I dowloaded libc6 2.2.5-3 from debian site and ran the xfree86
installation script. All Ok but my graphics card didn't work propertly, only 8:0
color depth was available. In addition when I selected other card driver
(vesa for example) , ati driver wasn't then available for
select.
I'm sure that I have download the correct
version of Xfree86 for my system and I have updated the libc6 library
correctly.
I think that may exist any incompatibilitie with my
card and the ati driver.
I great you any information you can offer at
respect.
Atentamente.
