Difficult to help without seeing your XF86Config resp XF86Config-4 file
The log complains about the lack of a display subsection with depth 16 in your screen 
section
I would be surprised if you did not have one. However, check whether you have a 
default depth of
16 and no display subsection with a depth of 16. If this is the case just add one 
(copy another
and change the depth...)
