SETUP: ------------ Servers are Redhat 7.2 with SSH2 server.
The clients are Linux workstations with SSH2, and Windows workstations. The Windows workstations have X-Win32 with SSH clients of F-secure, Putty, and SecureCRT. Remote users only connect using SSH2 with Public keys. X11 tunneling is turned on. PROBLEM: ----------------- Users on both Linux and the Windows workstations cannot run all GUI apps. Some work and some dont. Applications like Kedit, neat, and the web browser Opera work with SSH tunneling. You type in the command in Putty, and the app pops up. But certain apps like apacheconf, serviceconf, and dateconfig generate an error of the following: warning: X11 connection requests different authentication protocol: MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 vs. . warning: X11 connection requests different authentication protocol: MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 vs. . Gdk-ERROR **: X connection to web.home.net:10.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown) This happens on both Linux workstations and on windows workstations. It looks like a configuration issue, but I am unable to determine where. - Bruce __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
