Hello all, I am a real newbie at this linux/XFree stuff so I'll apologize up front if the question is totally basic.
I was wondering if anyone has managed to get X running on an Omnibook xt6050? It is almost working for me. With the latest version of the kernel (2.4.18) as well as XFree v. 4.2.0, everything seems to be up and running except that the screen resolution will not go beyond 640x480 when in fact it should be at 1024x768. This seems to be related to the graphic chipset (Intel 830mg). Following a thread on the Xpert group from November 2001, we downloaded and installed the i830.o module but to no avail. Any hints as to how to boost the resolution?
