Glad to hear there is hope! Does your setup work with "dri" and acceleration, by the way? I have an ATI A.I.W. 16mb AGP and have *tried* using the r128 driver but it leaves me with 4 very simple questions: [1] Where is the r128 driver, i.e. the path to it, and how to check version? [2] If I find out my videocard clockchip, RAMDAC, RAM, etc, would that help? [3] I found out my monitor's hscan/vscan optimal settings, is that good? [4] Logged in as root, I run XFree86. Then what? Do I change screens? PS. Vern, could you please quote me some lines from your XFree86.config ? -- Peter Leftwich President & Founder Video2Video Services Box 13692, La Jolla, CA, 92039 USA +1-413-403-9555 _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
