Ok try sending me your current XF86Config file.  Also try starting it as
root and a normal user.  Send me any error messages you get from root,
and if there are different error messages under the normal user send
that too.  Try both startx and xinit.  I gather you are currently using
XF86 4.2 on redhat 7.{2,3}.  I am currently running that same card under
Debian GNU/Linux with XF86 4.1.  So as a result my advice will be
directed towards Debian, but it should be pretty much universal.  Ill
try and get the XF86Config-4 file from that box sometime tonight.  But
if you send me all that stuff, I should be able to help.

ps I am ccing this to you cause Im not subscribed to the list with this
address and there fore cannot post to the list in a timely fashion.  I
would say send the requested info off list cause it will be alot of
info.
