A couple of months I had posted a few messages w.r.t. a problem I was having with the X server crashing. It used to crash on certain pages on http:/news.bbc.co.uk The XFree version being 4.2 on a Linux RedHat 7.1 system using Galeon 1.2 (Mozilla 0.9.9). I had also posted the logs. I could never fix the problem.
However recently I changed my resolution from 800 X 600 to 1152 X 864. Since then (about two weeks back) I have not had a problem with the BBC website. I am happy that the X server has stopped crashing, but I am curious to know why it used to happen in the first place. Any pointers ?
