I have the same card. The XFree86 Web site says that drivers for the S3 chip
used in that card have not been ported from 3.3.6 to 4.2.0. I had to
install the card as "unlisted" and then choose an S3 driver from 3.3.6 that
was provided by Mandrake (with Linux) It still doesn't work very well. I
think you really need XFree86 3.3.6.

Subject: [Newbie]freeBSD and Diamond Stealth 64 VRAM

Hi,

I've installed freeBSD 4.5 and xfree86 4.2.0 on my
old Pentium PC with a Diamond Stealth 64 VRAM.

When I run 'xf86cfg' to configure my video card the
utility claims that my video card is unsupported and
of course I can not start X windows.

How is it possible that is unsupported? This is a very
old card and it was supported on xfree86 3.3, at least
for linux.

Any idea?

Thanks
Spiros
