Hi,
I've installed the NVidia GLX and kernel drivers from the tar
files and everything seems to be set up as described in the installation
instructions provided by NVidia. However X fails to start and my
XFree86.0.log file has the following tail:
(II) NVIDIA(0):
AGP 4X successfully initialized
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to allocate a DMA
channel
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting
***
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to allocate a DMA push
buffer
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting
***
Fatal server
error:
AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver
0
Has anyone else had this problem? If so could someone
descibe how I get around it/fix it?
Any help would be much appreciated.
