Thanks Lionel, that was a big help.
I've finally got this running.  The main thing was to get the driver
directly from NVIDIA since the Xfree "nv" driver doesn't support the
NVIDIA GeForce2 Go.  I figure out how to get Xconfigurator or anything
else to detect my monitor and build the XF86Config-4 file for me, but
after studying the existing file, the sample from NVIDIA and the man
pages I managed to create a working configuration.

Onward to getting my desktop machine's display, my network card and my
mousepad to work.
