Hello,

I'm running the latest Cygwin install, with X 4.2.0, on Windows XP
Professional. My video card is an ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 2x.

I modified the startxwin.bat file, as follows:

Changed : SET CYGWIN_ROOT=\cygwin
To : SET CYGWIN_ROOT=h:\usr\pkg\cygwin

X logged to : h:\usr\pkg\cygwin\tmp\Xwin.log. Here's the contents:

Fatal server error:

Regarding the error: error opening security policy file
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xserver/SecurityPolicy

Assuming I set the CYGWIN_PATH variable correctly, there is no 'xserver'
directory on my system. Did I misinstall something? The results from the
command line are as follows:

XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server

4NT/C6 - H:\usr\pkg\cygwin\usr\X11R6\bin>

One more thing, since I have bash installed, perhaps should I be using the
shell script instead?

Any help would be appreciated?

TIA,
Jeff
