[Newbie]got this error after unzipping and starting XF85Setup

Anyone know why this would come up after I installed via the XF4.tar.gz file?: usr/x11 x11R6/bin/Superprobe is missing   I tired again with another download of the XF4.tar.gz and I got a: ‘halt trap’ after I downloaded the XF4.tar.gz file and installed via the / directory.     JD
