Hi All:
Im new to the X windows system. My experience
mostly lies in Windows systems. Im looking to move into the X Windows
system.
I have a few clarifications..
Correct me if i am wrong.
In X,
1. Each Display has a Display Buffer.
2. The applications that run are caled X Clients. 3. I can set the window output of any apllication to go to one of
the many Display Buffers.
4. The X Client is responsible for step 3.
5. The X Client and X Server connect via the X11 protocol.
6. The X Server gets the Display Buffer Data and Displays it on the
screen.
