[Newbie]troubles getting an tft screen to talk

I 've got a Nokia 300xa tft screen, it's a nice thing, of 15". 

Now, I got my XServer running, and all works fine on a CRT screen. (the
tft also works on any windows box).

I know I have to take the frequencies into consideration, I 've set
everything towards the documented settings.

When initiating an X session, the thing starts up, (I don't get any
error messages), and my screen goes pitch black.

Every idea to get this fixed, is great!
