I have downloaded the source tarballs of the XFree86 4.2.0 release and wanted to build it for myself. I have read the documentation but did not find anything about the hard- and software requirements. So I ask you. My system: Building on Linux 2.2.10-7 i686 [ELF] (2.2.10). Linux Distribution: RedHat libc version: 6.1.1 binutils version: 2.9 GCC version: 2.91 Is it possible to build this Release under that circumstances and wich software, libaries, packages, versions ..... are required for?
