Does anyone have success in configurating and running XFree86 version 4.2.0 on a SiS6215 video card? I installed Red Hat Linux 7.3 with XFree86 4.2.0. When I tried to configurate the X for the sis 6215 video card, I could not get it working (garbage screen). I even tried the suggestion by Sanker Balan on exocore site by changing the driver from "sis" to "vesa" without success. Now I can only run the 7.3 Linux in text mode. It is of little use without X11 graphics system running on my PC. Help!! Thanks in advance.
