Unsuccessfully tried to get the radeon driver to work on this computer with a ATI Radeon Mobility M7 LW. Used xfree-packages from mdk-8.2, rh 7.3 and gentoo 1.2 (i e compiled on the machine in question). Consistently the display has been distorted by a striping rendering it almost unreadable.
To see if it was a probl with the display I tried connecting a second TFT to the computer. In this setting I now get perfect graphics simultaneously on both displays!
