Hi,
I'm having a hell of a time keeping my GForce4 Ti 4200 working. I daily
alternate between:
Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Screen0"
        Device "nVidia Corporation|NV25 [GeForce4 Ti4200"
        Monitor "CustomConfiguration"
        Option "NvAgp" "1"
        Option "accel" "1"
        DefaultDepth 16
        Subsection "Display"
                Depth 24
                Modes "1600x1200" "1280x1024" "1024x768"
        EndSubSection
AND
Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Screen0"
        Device "nVidia Corporation|NV25 [GeForce4 Ti4200"
        Monitor "CustomConfiguration"
        Option "NvAgp" "0"
        Option "accel" "1"
        DefaultDepth 16
        Subsection "Display"
                Depth 24
                Modes "1600x1200" "1280x1024" "1024x768"
        EndSubSection
AND
Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Screen0"
        Device "nVidia Corporation|NV25 [GeForce4 Ti4200"
        Monitor "CustomConfiguration"
        Option "NvAgp" "2"
        Option "accel" "1"
        DefaultDepth 16
        Subsection "Display"
                Depth 24
                Modes "1600x1200" "1280x1024" "1024x768"
        EndSubSection
lsmod shows that agpgart is not loaded.
GL apps such as my CAD program or glxgears will hang up the X session untill
I switch NvAgp option to "0" and then to either "1" or "2" (seems like the
option must be set to "1" if it was originally "2" and vice versa) sounds
wierd to me....

Secondly, Running XFree86 -configure exits with fatal error advising me to
send the output of scanpci -v:
[ernie@localhost ernie]$ scanpci -v:
Fatal Error:
xf86EnableIOPorts: Failed to set IOPL for I/O
Anyone have a fix?
I'm running XFree86-4.2.1 updated with the Xupdate tar ball and
XFree86-tools-4.2.0 and XFree86-libs-4.2.0
I tried to update these using the rpm's but I can't get rpm to see the 4.2.1
update (could use some help here too, I guess.
By the way, XFree86.log says that the nvidia accel option is not being used.

Regards, Ernie
