That was it! I belive my mistake was not installing the first update or only the first update. I figured out how to trash darwin and then used SourceForge.net to make sure I got all of the needed up dates. I see all of the other problems windows based machines are having and I feel good that my problems are my own fault. Enjoying your hard work, George
