Have you tried closing josm and doing a fresh download of the data from the OSM server? There are two possibilities I can think of: 1) JOSM doesn't know that the data belongs to you. This happens when the data has been created and uploaded by JOSM. The author information is added by the server so you only get it marked as yours when you next download it. 2) Somebody else has edited it in the mean time. You could look at the history of a few of your ways to see if that has happened.
