You could 

1) download the relevant area in JOSM
2) add  a node where your house is, and tag it say as railway=station
3) save the data to your computer hard disk, but don't upload it
4) open the data in Kosmos, http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Kosmos, and 
you'll see a red square where your house is, and you can print the map straight 
from Kosmos.

  Hi I have been maping Dublin area since November and as there is a meeting 
planned shortly at my house I would like to take a piece of the map and then 
add my house to it and print. But without putting my house on the real map. I 
hope it is not too difficult but I need your help please as to how I should do
