Perhaps like many other new users attempting to master JOSM and become proficient, and in the absence of a comprehensive manual, I search all manner of places for information. It is clear from some items I have found and read, that they do no longer apply, or have been superseded. It is difficult to know in other cases, however, such as selecting a segment. The most recent place that I saw this, but not the only place, was JOSM Introduction on YouTube by InteRubke.
