Hi, & welcome to the fun & games that is OSM! There is no village_pump because nobody has documented it. That doesn't stop you recording its existence, as there are no tag police (not real ones anyway :) ) For relatively obscure items it's fine to make it up yourself. It's when you enter common data you'd want to go with the flow, because if you go your own way, it won't show on the display maps. It will still exist though! Enjoy...
