I'm still struggling with some of the terms, I'm wanting to put a map of an area (250 hectares) onto a website, I also have aerial photographs of the same area, but not yet georectified. Linked to these I want people to be able to see suggested walks, to avoid clutter I think the route of the walk should be a separate layer, i.e. visitors might select a route and then see it highlighted on the map.
